Rest In Peace

Who Sheryl Barbier was to me:

She was open arms in the late night hours for a little girl scared and alone. She was a protector, giving shelter and love to a child that needed it. She was a teacher. She taught me that its ok to show emotions, crying is not weakness. She helped me deal with my anger and issues. She gave unconditional love. Though I know I was not perfect, I disappointed her and made choices she didn't like...but she was a constant in my life no matter what. Even when I ran away for home or from my problems, I knew I could still come home to her. She never gave up on me. She was my rock. When I fell she helped me up. When I needed space to make my own mistakes she never went too far away. She molded me into the woman that stands tall today. I am stronger because of her. I am a better person because of her love. She touched many souls and had a positive impact on so many. She was and always will be my hero, the one I look to for guidance. She is so much more than a God Mother....she is my mommy, my best friend, my teacher, my rock, my Angel. I love you Sheryl. I miss you.
